Despite using the feature daily, iPhone users are only just realizing that Apple has added a new feature to the Wallet app, and it’s a complete lifesaver.

The Wallet app might be the best thing since Flappy Bird hit our handheld screens.

As a completely underrated feature, it means you can leave your chunky wallet and purse at home – eliminating the chance of misplacing them or having cash swiped from your fingertips.

But in a secret addition to the Wallet app, Apple has dropped a feature that could save you a lot of time.

Apple silently adds ‘save card’ feature to the Wallet app

We’ve all misplaced a purse or our keys, and not everyone is as lucky as this Michigan man, who was mailed his cash-flush leather wallet all the way from Minnesota after it was found inside a car engine.

Nowadays, that whole saga is prevented by the iPhone Wallet, and you can even store your virtual keys inside the app.

But a brand-new feature that has come to light is saving users even more time, especially when online shopping.

While Apple Pay is a go-to option in your wallet, not every site has the option to use the quick-pay feature, launching that disgruntled stomp around the house to find your card details.

But not anymore, thanks to the ‘save card’ option.

The new feature allows people to scan their card details and store them in a secure password folder, allowing access whenever they need them.

Instead of dusting off your wallet, you can now just tap into the Wallet app, select the ‘123’ password icon on your selected card, log in through your passkey – preferably face recognition -and have your details at hand.

“I kept checking the Passwords app to see whether there was an option to save credit card details, but to no avail,” one user wrote on Reddit, highlighting the tab.

“I then realized that in the Wallet app, there’s an icon at the top which stores all the data so that you can refer to it!

Secret features keep getting dropped on iPhone to wow users

This isn’t the only hack that people are just finding, either.

Some small but significant changes to the Calendar widgets have made it significantly easier to store important dates directly from your photo gallery.

Meanwhile, Apple CarPlay dropped some great innovative new features in iOS 27, helping keep you focused on the road.

The new software update was a hit with most users, despite a surge of people opting to buy the new Samsung instead, keeping existing iPhone stans happy.

The new Wallet app feature seems to be the pick of the bunch, though.

As one Redditor eloquently put it:

“Bro, you just made my life so much easier. Not even my banking app has this.”
