Newest Miami concept mansion for Lionel Messi is a spectacular $145m private island property

We already know that Lionel Messi lives in an incredible mansion in Florida.

He has not one but two homes in the state, one on a private waterfront and the other with an elevator for his supercars.

But the architects at MANSIONISTI think he can do better.

The football star made the move to the Sunshine State earlier this year after signing with Inter Miami.

The MANSIONISTI designers took inspiration from the tropical climate of Miami when creating this jaw-dropping concept home for the footballer.

And they went big.

Because why live on a waterfront when you could have a whole private island?

It’s built on the water’s edge with a private jetty and an unreal amount of palm trees.

The home is built in a contemporary style, with angular edges, plenty of glass, and light wood used throughout.

Front and center of this mansion is an infinity pool on the first floor.

Most infinity pools just have one edge that seems to go on forever.

This one, however, appears to wrap around the entire front of the property.

While the home is situated on a private island, Messi still gets to enjoy the lights of Miami.

Every room is lined with floor-to-ceiling glass, providing views of the city from a distance far away from fans and paparazzi.

The home gym is fully kitted out with everything the sporting legend might need too.

It’s a well-known fact that when Messi isn’t playing football he loves playing games – especially video games.

And MANSIONISTI took this into consideration when designing the home too.

There’s a pool table carved out of deep mahogany, a foosball table, and a huge carpet designed to look like a stylish football pitch.

The bath has to be one of the most subtle but striking elements of this home.

The freestanding tub appears to be carved from stone and has the perfect view of the sun setting over the buildings of Miami.

Then there’s the kitchen, which was designed with Messi’s big family in mind.

The open-plan design has two ovens, with delicate and valuable objects placed on hanging shelves far out of reach of little kids’ hands.

When you have three young kids you need all the extra space you can get.

Luckily, there is an indoor pool the size of an entire room.

Between that and the huge foosball table, they should be sufficiently entertained.
