This British car lover bought a Porsche 911 from eBay, but it had a bunch of modifications that he wasn’t too keen on, so he’s now tasked himself with stripping it.
He had his sights set on a 996 model.
Fortunately for him, he found one – and at a very reasonable price.
Unfortunately for him, it was going to take a bit of work to get it back to how it looked when it left the factory.

The Porsche 911 had some interesting aftermarket modifications
Introduced back in 1964, the Porsche 911 is an absolute icon.
Most car enthusiasts will tell you that you can’t improve on the 911, but that didn’t stop the previous owner of this model from trying their best.

The owner had given the car a matte black wrap, tinted just about everything, fitted some new wheels, and added a 4D license plate.
The Porsche 911 was listed for sale on eBay and was snapped up by YouTuber and car enthusiast Pauled Pork for $11,334.
Images shared alongside the listing showed that the car had once been finished in a deep ocean blue metallic color, which had since been covered with the matte black wrap.

Although the wrap had been expertly applied and was in great condition, it wasn’t to the taste of the new owner, who said the car was in ‘dire need of cosmetic modifications’.
“This wrap needs to go,” he said.
“I think the tints definitely need to go.”

The car also had a broken climate control LED and a seriously loud exhaust that would probably require some attention.
The new owner wasted no time in de-modifying the car, as well as addressing some other issues, like fixing the radio and sorting the rear passenger door latch.
He might have a change of heart about that wrap
First up, he swapped out the tires for a set of 18-inch Turbo Twist wheels from a 996.
Next up, he tackled the lights, replacing the tinted ones in favor of some that were a little more similar to the original lights.
He also swapped the license plate, removing the old 4D one and putting on Porsche dealer plates to help complete its factory correct look.
Interestingly, after making a handful of cosmetic changes to the car, the YouTuber wasn’t sure whether he still wanted to remove the wrap or not.
“Should I keep the wrap now?” he asked his followers.
“I’m not sure. I think it actually looks quite good now.”
