How would you rebuild a $300k Lamborghini? This team of YouTubers is doing it from scratch in their garage.

The team at the YouTube channel RatDog had quite the job on their hands.

This 2008 Lamborghini Murciélago was in pieces when it came to their garage.

Nuno the owner, was passionate about the car being restored and was keen for it to be done in-house.

Taking on a $300k Lamborghini as a project

This undertaking wasn’t a matter of making a few minor tweaks and corrections.

The team was effectively taking the car apart and putting it back together.

And with this Lamborghini, there was a lot that needed a second look, as the team got started by dismantling the rear, removing the hubs, and inspecting the components underneath.

The suspension and brake components were also taken out.

The body had some signs of having been in a crash at some point, and whoever had done work on it previously hadn’t done a great job.

The kilometer speedometer indicates that this car came from Singapore.

There’s still a lot left to do, primarily with the preparation of the chassis.

Rebuilding a car is no small task

Even though they’ve not reached the finish line yet, the RatDog team has made good progress already.

In addition to that, the feeling of satisfaction that will come with completing the Lambo will be incomparable.

We’ve seen a lot of YouTubers taking on the task of rebuilding cars before, and it’s not always the smoothest journey.

For one YouTuber, his journey building a McLaren 650S with parts from Temu has come with multiple bumps in the road.

But for others, their restoration projects have come with rewarding conclusions, whether the car was gifted to their dad or to a friend.

There’s nothing more satisfying than the feeling of seeing somebody you care about enjoy the fruits of your labor.
