The owner of this electric Jeep Wrangler found themselves in quite the predicament when they tried to go offroading in Utah.

The sand dunes at Sand Hollow in Utah are an excellent place to test out serious off-roading SUVs like the Jeep Wrangler.

This is because it’s notoriously difficult terrain.

But there was one problem this driver didn’t account for.

Rescuers got a first-time call for an electric Jeep Wrangler

This off-roading SUV made a new home several inches beneath the sand at Sand Hollow.

All four of its tires were spinning, but the vehicle itself was stuck in one place.

So, unfortunately for the driver, they had to call in the professionals at Matt’s Off Road Recovery.

In a video posted to their YouTube channel, the team was apparently in the right place at the right time.

The team from Matt’s Off Road Recovery was actually already rescuing a Volkswagen sedan nearby in Utah when they got the call.

At first, it seemed like a normal job.

But they realized it was far from it when they reached the location.

You see, it was an extremely hot and sunny day and this meant the sand was extremely soft and slippery.

That makes for an even more difficult drive, even if you have the world’s best off-roader.

And to state the obvious, but this SUV is an extremely capable off-roader — watch it go head-to-head with a Cybertruck for yourself.

Getting it out of the Utah sand dunes

After a bumpy ride, the team reached the Jeep and made a rescue plan.

The Jeep was put in reverse gear with the pedal slightly pushed as the rescue vehicle pulled it from behind.

Surprisingly, it didn’t take long for the Wrangler to be free again.

Although pulling out an electric Jeep was a first for these guys, it wasn’t their first rescue rodeo.

As we stated before, they’re all pros and have safely rescued many vehicles from various precarious locations.

For instance, they recently pulled out a Chevy Silverado that almost tipped over on a mountain.

And also this Ram truck that was stuck on a mountain trail.

So, unsurprisingly the rescue team was able to pull the electric Jeep Wrangler to freedom and admitted they ‘had a little bit of fun with it’ too.
