This man tested out the ‘world’s most hated’ car detailing products to see if they were truly that bad.

YouTuber Epic Automotive Detailing had asked his viewers to recommend a company for him to try out.

They ended up recommending EZ Car Care, a company selling detailing products that had received a fair few negative reviews online.

Would their products be any good, or would the naysayers be vindicated?

Were the ‘world’s most hated’ car detailing products really that bad?

The YouTuber picked up a car-cleaning kit, which cost $40.69 (£30.95), and included wheel cleaner, pre-wash, snow foam, shampoo, glass cleaner, and an interior cleaner.

In addition to all of that, there were four ‘finishing’ products – a graphene wax, two spray sealants, and an ‘Insta Gloss’ spray.

Some might see all these products as generous, but Epic Automotive Detailing felt it was ‘overkill’.

When it came to application, he felt that the instructions amd dilution guidance were lacking – for example, on how much shampoo to use.

He also felt that some of the chemicals were diluted or underspecified.

On the whole, it was a bit of a mixed bag.

Whilst the wheel cleaner did a decent job on tires, he felt it struggled a bit on brake dust and heavily contaminated wheels.

The snow foam was felt to be too thin, whilst the shampoo felt watery.

The spray sealant was praised as being simple to use and superior to other budget options.

He also had high praise for the glass cleaner and interior cleaner, feeling they both did their job well.

What was his final verdict?

In conclusion, he decided that the kit did a ‘decent job’ and would work for a beginner or someone working on a budget.

“It can’t be all doom and gloom,” he said.

“Yeah, the products are on the cheap side, but is that really a problem?

“It’s not about the journey, it’s about the end results with EZ Care.

“As long as you can get a finish like this, you’re not going to have a problem.”

So there you have it, it was a pretty good review on the whole.

We’ve seen plenty of product reviews, and they can come to very different conclusions.

One man tested $273,000 worth of luxury tech to see if it was worth the price, whilst one guy in Texas tried out some Temu car products that ‘felt illegal’.
