The Rimac Nevera R has officially set a new acceleration record, confirming its status as the fastest electric hypercar with a verified top speed unmatched in its class.

In testing, it completed the 0–400–0 km/h (0–249–0 mph) run in 25.79 seconds, cutting more than four seconds off the time previously held by the standard Rimac Nevera.

These results were independently validated by Dewesoft during final-stage testing.

A deeper look into the numbers reveals just how extensively Rimac has reworked its performance flagship.

How Rimac validated every major performance metric

The Nevera R now holds verified records in 24 key categories, including acceleration, braking, and sustained speed.

Its most significant result came in the 0–400–0 km/h (0–249–0 mph) test, where it beat the original Rimac Nevera’s 29.93-second record by a wide margin.

The car also achieved a 0–60 mph time of 1.66 seconds, reached 100 km/h (62 mph) in 1.72 seconds, and hit 300 km/h (186 mph) in 7.89 seconds.

Its top speed of 431.45 km/h (268.2 mph) ranks as the fastest ever recorded for an electric hypercar.

It completed the quarter-mile in 7.90 seconds and the standing mile in 19.71 seconds.

These runs, along with the full set of data collected during testing, show improvements across all benchmarks previously set by the original model in 2023 at the Automotive Testing Papenburg facility in Germany.

Each figure was recorded in controlled conditions and confirmed by third-party equipment.

Power is delivered through four electric motors producing a combined 2,107 horsepower.

These are managed by Rimac’s updated torque vectoring system, which recalibrates wheel-by-wheel power distribution 100 times per second.

This enables the car to maintain consistent grip and control even during full-throttle runs.

A new aerodynamic package, which includes a fixed rear wing and a larger rear diffuser, increases downforce by 15 percent and improves overall efficiency by 10 percent.

Michelin Cup 2 tires have been fitted to improve traction and reduce understeer.

Alongside suspension and software changes, these upgrades create a platform capable of repeatable high-speed performance.

Every system has been refined to support sustained acceleration and deceleration without sacrificing drivability.

Acceleration record solidifies Rimac Nevera benchmark status

Production of the Rimac Nevera R is limited to 40 units, each priced from 2.3 million EUR.

It follows the success of the original Rimac Nevera, which previously held records for EV top speed, Nürburgring lap time, and the Goodwood Festival of Speed hill climb.

The Nevera R builds on that foundation and delivers confirmed improvements across every tested performance metric.

Where many hypercars rely on theoretical estimates or marketing claims, Rimac has focused on publishing validated data.

Each of the Nevera R’s 24 records has been independently verified and reflects real-world capability.

The acceleration record in particular highlights the shift in hypercar benchmarks as electric drivetrains continue to outpace combustion-based counterparts.

With its latest results, the Rimac Nevera R sets a clear standard for future electric hypercars.

Its top speed, acceleration record, and braking performance now serve as the most credible data points in the segment.

The model enters production with numbers that have already redefined what is technically possible in a road-legal electric performance car.
