Scientists have discovered the biggest hint ever about finding alien life in space

Scientists may have found the biggest hint yet about alien life through mega star structures in space.

The theory is that if an incredibly advanced alien civilization does exist they might have developed Dyson Spheres.

And we might have just discovered a few of them.

Dyson Spheres are mega structures that surround a star to capture its solar power for infinite energy supply.

For years, Dyson Spheres have just been a theory but two new studies have showcased they can be a real thing.

Led by Ph.D. student Matías Suazo, the new study says that Dyson Spheres ‘may be hiding in public data already collected as part of large astronomical surveys’.

Suazo and his team found a new method of using data from the Gaia satellite, that was used to map stars across the universe.

“A specialized pipeline has been developed to identify potential DS candidates, focusing on detecting sources that display anomalous infrared excesses that cannot be attributed to any known natural source of such radiation,” the study stated.

So far they have shortlisted five million potential stars to seven strong candidates that may be hosting Dyson spheres.

The scientists found the seven candidates by analyzing observations from the Gaia satellite.

And through the infrared survey results from other ground and space-based telescopes.

If it turns out to be true then we’ve found alien life, far more advanced than us.

However, you don’t have to worry that much as the team emphasizes that these are just candidates for now.

All seven candidates are also M-dwarf stars, smaller and dimmer than our Sun.

But their findings were certainly eyebrow-raising as current science can’t explain the reason for their infrared excess.

This infrared excess is what led the researchers to these stars in the first place.

That’s because a Dyson Sphere would emit waste heat in the form of mid-infrared radiation.
