Shaquille O’Neal bought big family 15-passenger van then took them out for dinner

As one of the richest athletes on Earth, Shaq has a bit of cash to spare.

One family was the lucky recipient of not one but two massive gifts from the NBA star.

After treating them to dinner, he took them to both a Mercedes-Benz and a Ford dealership.

NBA players are some of the wealthiest in the world, and they famously love to spend their money on flashy things.

Shaq is no exception, once buying three Rolls-Royce in one afternoon.

But he likes to give back just as much as he likes to buy items like his Frankenstein Ferrari.

In fact, it’s almost a compulsion for him.

“Every day I leave the house, I gotta bless somebody,” he says.

One of his blessings was to the Collins, a family of 11.

The family increases by the year and they recently outgrew their 12-person van.

Shaq decided to step in, taking them to a Mercedes-Benz dealership where he bought them a brand-new 15-passenger Sprinter.

The Collins also got to customize it, to account for all the strollers and car seats that come with having so many kids.

Afterwards, he took them out for dinner, where he tipped the waitress $1,000 and paid another family’s bill too.

With a net worth of $400 million, this didn’t even nearly make a dent in Shaq’s wallet.

Later Shaq spent time with the kids, some of whom are aspiring basketball players.

While at their house he noticed that their truck’s air conditioning unit was no longer working.

Sure, he could’ve paid to have it fixed, but where’s the fun in that?

Shaq quickly headed to a Ford dealership where he treated the family to a fresh truck.

The family were thrilled, especially the mom who was most excited about all the trunk space.

“Now to learn how to park this beast of a van,” she said.
