Shaq is almost equal parts famous for his wild financial decisions as he is for his NBA career.
The basketball star has an impressive net worth of $400 million.
While he earned a fortune from his illustrious NBA career, he’s also an incredibly savvy businessman.

Needless to say, Shaq is anything but strapped for cash.
In fact, he’s made a number of sometimes surprising investments that have contributed to his wealth, including buying a couple of Krispy Kreme stores to a series of car wash businesses.
He also owns a percentage of Elvis Presley, Marilyn Munroe and David Beckham’s royalties.
But the way he spends his money isn’t always as smart.
He was recently a guest on the podcast Drink Champs and revealed a pretty reckless financial decision he once made.
While browsing the luxury cars on display at a Rolls-Royce dealership, Shaq enquired about a number of prices.
It was clear the salesman didn’t know who he was dealing with.
“You asked about all these cars, can you afford them?” he asked the player.
The question understandably hit a nerve.
His revenge?
To place an order, or three.
“I want that one, that one, and that one,” he said.
“And I want them dropped off.”
The vehicles cost $400,000 each.
While he might have proved to the car salesman that he could indeed afford the luxury cars, Shaq was left with serious buyer’s remorse.
“I’ve got three Rolls-Royce that I never drive,” he said.
“So there goes another million.”
The basketball player has an enviable fleet of cars and is known to be a Rolls-Royce fan.
He’s owned two Phantoms and bought a Cullinan in 2020.
In the past, he’s also been known to gift luxury cars to a lucky few.
He wrote his brother a cheque specifically for a Rolls-Royce once and also gave LeBron James one for his 25th birthday.
If you’re looking to gift a couple more, Shaq, we’d be more than happy to take them off your hands.
