A thoughtful gift always goes a long way — especially if it’s something like a 1968 Chevy Camaro that your father had always dreamed of driving.
To top it off, it becomes even better when a son unveils the surprise to give his father his dream car.
This is the story of Tony, who had wanted to get his dad a ’68 Camaro for about 30 years and finally managed to do it.
It’s also quite wholesome, as his father’s reaction was priceless, to say the least.

Son surprised dad with the car of his dreams
It might not be the first time we’ve seen a son surprising his dad with a muscle car, but this one sure does stand out.
Tony Angelo, who has a YouTube channel called Stay Tuned, posted a video of him getting the Camaro and showing it to his dad.
He also shared the story of why it was so important, and it came with a lot of twists and turns.
It all started when Tony’s mother wanted to give her husband a Camaro 30 years ago.
However, finding a specific model of most cars was hard back then.
Tony was only 14 years old then and initially wasn’t fascinated by muscle cars at all.
That changed when he hung out with his mother while she was trying to find a Chevy Camaro.
The next thing he did was get a 1971 Dodge Demon as his first car, which he still owns.

What didn’t happen was the duo getting the exact ’68 Camaro SS — or any other trim — and the efforts ended there.
Since then, Tony had been on the lookout for one and finally found something worthwhile.
This one, however, came with a catch.
It was missing the entire front end and came without an engine.
He got aftermarket front-end parts to at least make it appear like an actual car so he could surprise his father.
Not long after, it was time for the grand reveal — and the reaction was a sight to behold.

Naturally, the dad was quite glad and proud — but he was also offered a chance to decide how he wanted the car built.
That moment was indeed nostalgic for him because he now had the chance to decide how the car of his dreams would come to him.
The father-son duo eventually decided to keep the white exterior with a red interior and put a six-speed automatic drivetrain in there.
Although the restoration and the entire build would take some time, it was the perfect surprise.
All because the dream came true after three decades.
