Everyone knows that the Sultan of Brunei has an amazing collection of cars, but there is also an exclusive ‘black room’ that hides some of the most secretive cars that he owns.

It is not a secret that the Sultan’s collection is the biggest and most expensive in the world; it is the kind of collection that many of us wish we had.

Within this hoard of cars is an almost ‘mini collection’ as the black room hides away some of the rarest cars that the Sultan owns.

Just this one room alone has enough cars to make even the likes of Jay Leno incredibly jealous.

What is inside the Sultan of Brunei’s black room?

This part of the car collection is even more mysterious than the rest of it combined.

Hidden away in one of the Brunei royal garages, it’s the most private part of the lot.

The various cars sit in a windowless, low-lit chamber, and there are at least 30 vehicles in this single room.

While photographs are hard to come by, several have leaked on Instagram, revealing some of the exclusive autos.

They include a grey Ferrari FX, which is a one-off evolution of the Ferrari 512M.

Several McLaren F1 supercars are also located in the black room.

Three Brunei-only Mercedes-Benz Mythos coupes are also stored here, alongside experimental Ferraris.

The Brunei collection has the most secretive cars in the world

Add in cars such as the Ferrari 456 Venice variants, and it’s clear this is no ordinary car lot.

Multiple sources claim that the Sultan of Brunei has the largest private car collection in the world.

The collection spans up to 7,000 cars and is potentially worth up to $5 billion.

Brunei also holds the Guinness World Record for the largest private Rolls-Royce collection.

Within just this part of the fleet, there are 150 luxury cars.

Getting into the collection is almost impossible, however, as it’s guarded by a tall wall topped with razor wire.

It’s heavily guarded, and anyone who visits must give up their passports upon arrival.

Photos of the cars are hard to come by, and so we’re lucky to even see these images.

They offer a tantalizing glimpse into what must be the most secretive car collection in the world.
