Apple has discontinued its iPhone 13, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max following the launch of the iPhone 16.
In case you somehow missed it, the iPhone 16 launched yesterday (September 10).
The new phones are the first built specifically to handle AI – or Apple Intelligence, as the company calls its proprietary artificial intelligence.
The changes aren’t just on the inside, Apple has also included an external camera button on the new handsets.

for Apple Intelligence – the tech giant’s proprietary AI system.
The new iPhone 16 is available from $899
The stock standard iPhone 16 is available from $799 for the 128GB model and goes up to $1,099 for the 512GB version, while the iPhone 16 Plus starts at $899 for the 128GB handset, with the price rising to $1,199 for the 512GB model.
If you want more, you’ll need to pay more, with the iPhone 16 Pro priced at $999 for the 128GB model, going up to $1,499 for the 1TB version.
Finally, the iPhone 16 Pro Max starts from $1,199 for the 256GB model and rises to $1,599 for the iPhone Pro Max 1TB.
The new phones come with Apple’s upgraded iOS 18.
Earlier this year, the company promised groundbreaking improvements for its ‘biggest’ update yet, including a handy feature for when your battery dies.
Apple has now discontinued some older models
But with the launch of the new iPhone comes the discontinuation of several older handsets.
Included in this upgrade’s culling is the iPhone 13, that launched back in 2021, the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which both launched last year.
This means you’ll no longer be able to purchase any of these phones directly from Apple, but if you’re interested, you may be able to get a refurbished one or pick one up from a third-party retailer while stocks last.
The new launch has also seen several older models drop, according to Mac Rumors.
The cheapest iPhone remains the iPhone SE, priced at $429, but the iPhone 14 and 15 series have had $100 slashed from their price tags.
The iPhone 14 is now $599, with the iPhone 14 Plus now $699.
The iPhone 15 is down from $799 to $699 while the iPhone 15 Plus is now $799.
