A Tesla Cybertruck and a Hummer EV recently faced off in a drag race to see which was faster.
The Cybertruck used was the basic model – not the powerful Cyber Beast – meanwhile, the Hummer was the 1,000-horsepower, triple-motor version.
Both trucks were tested at the Freedom Factory motorsports park to see how they would perform head-to-head.
One truck was a clear winner, firmly establishing its dominance over the other.

Tesla Cybertruck drag race against a Hummer EV
The complete video of the race was documented on YouTube by Cleetus McFarland.
The Cybertruck weighed 6,600lbs, while the Hummer EV was much heavier at 10,000lbs.
But despite its extra weight, the Hummer had plenty of muscle.
The Cybertruck, which had rear-wheel steering, did show some hesitation, especially during quick turns, which made its handling feel less sharp.
The delay in the steering was noticeable and gave the Hummer EV a slight advantage in responsiveness.
This is exactly what happened when the Cybertruck raced against the Chevrolet Corvette.
However, the Cybertruck was still fast, although the Hummer’s power allowed it to keep a strong pace throughout.
There was one clear winner
Now, let’s get to the most exciting part – the result of the race.
Despite the Cybertruck’s impressive speed, the Hummer EV took the win.
The Hummer completed the quarter-mile in 11.67 seconds, while the Cybertruck took 12.37 seconds.
The Hummer EV’s acceleration, although not as snappy as the Cybertruck’s, proved to be more consistent, ultimately winning the race.
Maybe if the Hummer EV was put against the Cyber Beast instead of the basic model, the result would have been different.
After all, a Tesla truck even won against a Porsche 911 in a similar race.
