The first Tesla Supercharger for Business station is up and running in Florida, with eight branded V4 Supercharger stalls.

In September, Tesla launched its Supercharger for Business program.

The program allows businesses to buy Superchargers for the first time ever.

And now the very first company, Suncoast Credit Union, has done just that.

Here’s how the Supercharger for Business program works

The Tesla Supercharger network has grown at a rapid pace for months on end, and is now the ‘world’s largest fast charging network’.

Back in September, the carmaker announced that for the first time ever, it was allowing people to buy Superchargers through its Supercharger for Business program.

“By purchasing your own Superchargers, you get the technology, reputation, and industry knowledge that we’ve acquired from over a decade of managing Supercharger operations,” Tesla said at the time.

The program allows business owners to buy white-labeled Superchargers that can be customized with their own branding, and which come with the same software, hardware, services, and pricing controls you’d get on the standard network.

Although they belong to the business, the Superchargers are entirely maintained by Tesla.

“We treat your site like we treat our sites,” the website explained.

In real terms, this includes a full service package covering things like preventative maintenance, driver support and network operations.

The carmaker has also said it will provide ‘over-the-air software updates throughout their lifetime’, which it says will help improve the driver’s experience ‘like magic’.

The first third-party Supercharger station is here

Now, the first Supercharger for Business site has opened in Land O’ Lakes, Florida, at the Suncoast Credit Union.

Confirming the news, Tesla announced on X that it was the ‘first North American Supercharger that’s Tesla-managed, [and is] third-party owned’.

The company has kitted out the Superchargers with its name and illustrations of animals, including an alligator.

The company has snapped up eight V4 stalls, all of which offer fast 325kW charging speeds.

The Supercharger for Business sites will show up on car navigation systems, so they are available to be used by any EV drivers, and not just people who are using the business.
