Tesla is tipped to release a couple of new vehicles in 2025 with the ‘Juniper’ Model Y and a new Model Q rumored to be launched in the first half of the year.

Next year looks like it could be a big year for Tesla, with some interesting new releases.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has previously revealed that the company is working on more affordable models.

Speaking during a Q3 earnings call in October, he said ‘we are still on track to deliver our affordable models starting in the first half of 2025’ – so these new releases could come with lower price tags.

The new Model Y has been codenamed ‘Juniper’

The new Model Y, codenamed Juniper, was first detailed back in 2023, with a release date originally planned for 2024.

However, as is often the case with Tesla, the date has been pushed back with the car now slated to be released in the early half of next year.

Earlier this month, a suspected Tesla Model Y Juniper prototype was spotted out on the road in California.
Footage shared online, showed a mystery dark–colored vehicle with its rear and bonnet both covered.

Although the footage didn’t give away too many secrets about how the refreshed Model Y will look, it’s widely believed it will incorporate many of the features we saw in the updated Model 3, which was released in 2023.

These include better aerodynamics, a quieter ride, and tweaks and adjustments to the body including the front facia and headlights.

As yet, Tesla is keeping tight-lipped on a release date or price – so watch this space.

The Tesla Model Q is also rumored to be in the works

Previously dubbed the ‘Model 2’, the rumored Tesla Model Q is suspected to be a more affordable EV.

According to the Independent, the compact Model Q is set to be released in the first half of 2025 – but there’s no confirmation that this release will mean its production ready.

Think back to the Cybertruck, which was launched as a concept back in 2019, before finally landing with customers in 2023.

During an investor meeting between Tesla and Deutsche Bank, it was reported that the Model Q ‘will cost less than $30k with subsidies, or $37,499 if Trump cancels the IRA tax credit’ – making the car a lot cheaper than previous Tesla releases.

Again, Tesla is yet to confirm any details – or even the existence – of the Model Q, but it looks like it could be an interesting year for the carmaker.
