The Emir of Qatar has a personal supercar collection so big that he’s running out of space in a 500-space garage housed in his $1.25 billion palace in Doha.
Qatar might have flown under the wealth radar in comparison to its Middle East neighbours like Saudi Arabia.
But since placing itself in the public eye for the 2022 World Cup, Qatar has been painted with a golden brush.
The pinnacle of the Qatari wealth lies with its Emir, and his extraordinary supercar collection bursting out of the door of a billion-dollar Doha palace exemplifies how well-off he is.

The Emir of Qatar has a wild car collection
Qatar has a rather special relationship with luxury vehicles and supercars, even offering mundane driving lessons in the comfort of a Rolls-Royce Ghost.
But the height of the wealth lies in the fingertips of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
In typical royalty fashion, the Emir has a supercar collection that rivals any collector on the planet.
Housed inside his $1.5 billion Palace is a garage with space for 500 vehicles, most of which are prized possessions that will be held under lock and key.
So, what keys does the Emir of Qatar own?
Let’s start off with a LaFerrari Aperta.

The $6 million Ferrari convertible is one of the finest cars to leave the Maranello factory, and the Emir of Qatar owns a silver Aperta that shines in the Doha sun.
The Aperta is joined by a trio of supercar legends in a Bugatti Divo, Veyron, and Chiron.
The one-of-40 Divo is the rarest of the Bugatti fleet, but the collection includes multiple Veyrons and Chirons, including the Super Sport version.
Other showstopping supercars in the garage include a one-of-40 Lamborghini Centenario, a McLaren Speedtail, and an Aston Martin Valkyrie.
Then there’s the royal luxury section. Flanking the supercar toys are the Emir’s Rolls-Royce Phantoms, Mercedes-Maybachs, and bespoke Bentleys.
Qatar Emir has more than just car wealth
Although the garage doors are bursting in his 15-building palace, the Emir of Qatar also has a kingdom on the water with his $500m superyacht.
The boat lines up there alongside Jeff Bezos’ as one of the finest luxury vessels ever made, but it stands taller as ‘Al Lusail’ needed a facelift from the Lürssen to accommodate the Qatari royal’s six-foot-four frame.

As far as the royal collections go, the Emir of Qatar has one of the more mainstream car collections from the biggest names in manufacturing.
But if you want to see some more wild supercars from 40-foot Jeeps and rainbow-colored Mercedes-Benz S Class‘, or the world’s most expensive gold-plated Rolls-Royce, the Rainbow Sheikh of Dubai and the Sultan of Brunei, respectively, might be more up your alley.
