Future supercars and going electric

Ferrari already has a number of new cars in the works, with plans laid out until 2028.

The esteemed brand will be working on new upgraded variants of pre-existing models, while also releasing some brand-new ranges with a focus on electricity.

SF90, 2025

The SF90 is the first-ever Ferrari plug-in hybrid and it’s already on the market.

But the manufacturer appears to be pushing out a new version to test the motor capabilities even further than it did with the SF90 XX Stradale.

Some almost-identical SF90s have been spotted hiding in plain sight, so it looks like we might be getting the upgraded PHEV soon – it’s already been slated for a 2025 release.

Roma, 2026

Having released the first Roma back in 2020, Ferrari has since made two variants: the Spider, and the Spider Oro.

But rumors have it that yet another Roma is on the way – or a completely new range – to succeed it.

Yet to be confirmed, the Italian brand could be set to end 2025 on a high with this.

First-ever unnamed Ferrari EV, 2026

Set to be revealed in full later this year, October in fact, the first-ever full-electric Ferrari is on its way.

It was first announced back in 2023 by CEO Benedetto Vigna and will be produced in the new E-Building on its Maranello campus.

Details are scarce surrounding the EV, with nothing as much as an aesthetic description being available.

All we know is that it will be engine-less, and will be given a synthetic sound.

F80, 2026

Another hybrid range is in the works too, with the F80.

Ferrari’s latest creation is set to be a top-of-the-range design, rivaling its other racecars like LaFerrari, with the hope that it can sit atop the very competitive hierarchy.

The multi-million dollar car is set to use three electric motors and a 3.0 L V6 engine to create 1200HP.

It’s touted for a 2026 release, topping off what is set to be a major year for the supercar maker.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider and 296 Speciale are also set to roll out in 2025.

New factory, new beginnings, new Ferrari

With a move towards EVs and PHEVs, Ferrari has suggested a new factory would be necessary.

The building in Maranello will focus on electric vehicles rather than the production of the iconic V12 engines and other gas supercars in its fleet.

“With one eye we have to look toward the past and with the other to the future, maintaining an equilibrium between the awareness of knowledge and the fear of the new,” Ferrari Chief Executive Officer Benedetto Vigna said.

“And at this point, it’s the brain – if we allow it the time to think – that has to synthesize what we see on one side and what we want on the other. That which is new has its roots in history. It’s the humanism of technology.”

Personalization

With so many Ferrari models slated to come out in the next two years, the manufacturer has continued to push its Personalization Programme.

As the future of supercar royalty, Ferrari hopes to offer its clients some high-spec vehicles with a touch of bespoke class.

Similar to competitors like Lamborghini and Pagani, both of which offer extensive personalization, Ferrari is looking for more unique builds specific to customers’ tastes.

The future is Rosso Red hot, and Ferrari’s new motor-powered fleet is set to make its biggest imprint yet in 2025 and 2026.
