McLaren is a big name in the car world
From crafting supercars to powering a whole Formula 1 team, the company has an impressive resume under its belt.
In fact, Pontiac once even turned to McLaren for a helping hand in building a sports car.
Plus, it celebrated its F1-winning car in style with two limited-edition models.
But, there’s a whole lot more where that came from.
The company was founded in 1963 by Bruce McLaren and was originally owned by the Bruce McLaren Motor Racing company.
Since its start, it has grown from strength to strength.
Electric cars from McLaren

It’s no secret that electric vehicles are all the rage and have been gaining popularity quickly in recent years.
Thanks to the positive impact on emissions and the environment from EVs, the hype is only set to continue too – with costs of fuel increasing.
And McLaren may even jump on the bandwagon too, it seems.
SUVs and more than two seats

McLaren’s chief design officer, Tobias Sühlmann, revealed that new technologies will be explored to extend the brand’s portfolio.
SUV fans, get ready, as this could mean that the car company will spread its wings into this domain.
What’s more, to keep up with the times, the new influx of tech could possibly deviate to more than two single seats in the cockpit.
Signature design
Do not fear, though, as – despite all this projected change – some things will undoubtedly remain the same.
This includes some elements of design.
As we all know, the cars are currently made in Woking England, just 23 miles from central London.
Now, for the exciting bit.
Future powerhouses from McLaren will include three cues that are central to the label.
These include dual elements at the front of the fleet, an open end of the car, and a performance line, which avid F1 fans will surely recognize.
Amongst all this good news, we should all note that McLaren got a new owner just last year.
CYVN Holdings, an Abu Dhabi based company took over, with big plans to weave the company’s history into the new owner’s advanced knowledge and tech and engineering, which is sure to pave the way in 2025 and really set a high standard for new vehicles.
So, keep your eyes peeled as McLaren makes waves in 2025 and beyond – it’s set to be a very exciting few years.
