Check out this time capsule 1973 Pontiac Grand Ville hard top that looks almost new and has just 44,000 miles on the clock.
It’s recently been listed for sale on eBay, and the seller believes it will make ‘a very discriminating buyer pleased’ thanks to its incredible condition.
The all-original Pontiac Grand Ville has never had a restoration.
So what you see is pretty much exactly what its original owner would have seen five decades ago.

Introduced in 1957, the Pontiac Bonneville was seen as the top of the pile when it came to Pontiac vehicles.
However, in 1971, the marque decided to knock down the Bonneville a notch and replace it with the Pontiac Grand Ville.

The two cars shared several trim and design elements, but the Grand Ville was marketed as a much more luxurious option.
Powered by its original 455 cubic-inch V8 engine paired with a Turbo Hydra-matic, the Grand Ville had an advertised output of 250 horsepower.
Grand Ville was available as a sedan, coupe, or convertible, and a four-door sedan have just gone up for sale in Iowa.
The 1973 Pontiac Grand Ville benefits from its original green exterior paintwork, which has ‘very few paint chips’, and original black vinyl top.
Inside, it’s a similar story with the original interiors looking brand-new; there are even a couple of cigarette lighters in the back that have never been used.
“If you are looking for that very special car, then this is it,” the eBay listing reads.

Although the car’s history is unclear, its good condition can be partially explained by the fact that it has done just 44,890 original miles, meaning it likely spent some of its life as a garage queen.
What happened to the Grand Ville?
Although designed to take over the top spot from the Bonneville, the Pontiac Grand Ville didn’t stand the test of time.
It went into production in 1971, and while sales were initially pretty solid, they took a sharp decline during the oil crisis in late 1973, with folks opting to buy smaller vehicles.
Production of the Grand Ville ended in 1975, after 290,327 examples were built.
Of those, the rarest model is the convertible, with under 16,000 produced.
