Toyota has unveiled its Century concept car, and it looks like it could give a Rolls-Royce a serious run for its money.

The striking new concept is set to be officially unveiled at the Japan Mobility Show later this month.

Until then, we’ll have to be satisfied with a handful of sneak-peek images that Toyota has released.

The first-look image shows an imposing-looking coupe that has similar proportions to a Rolls-Royce Spectre, and appears to be a bold statement from Toyota.

Teaser images show that the Toyota Century concept is a head-turner

Introduced back in 1967, the Toyota Century is a lineup of ultra-luxe vehicles that began with a full-size sedan, and now consists of a luxury SUV and limousine.

Now, for the first time ever, the Century is set to get a coupe model, and it looks more than a little bit special.

The marque has given us our first glimpse of the upcoming vehicle ahead of its big reveal on October 31.

Unlike previous Century models, this one features slick sliding doors and no B-pillars.

To the front of the car, there’s dual-layer lighting and a sizable grille, which is adorned with the Century’s signature golden phoenix badge.

The proportions and silhouette of the Century coupe are reminiscent of the Rolls-Royce Spectre, while front-on, it looks a little like the Bentley EXP 15 concept that was revealed earlier this year.

Inside, the teaser images suggest a minimalist cabin that appears to have a wraparound dashboard and a central driving position with a yoke-style steering wheel.

It’s been branded a ‘one-of-one’

Toyota has branded the vehicle a ‘one-of-one’ but as yet it’s unclear if that means it’s just a standard concept vehicle, a one-off commission for a wealthy customer, or a design study.

But if the concept coupe did ever get a production version, then it may not be a Japan-exclusive.

Toyota has previously said that it hopes to launch the Century brand globally, and this could be the car that helps do that.

But of course, we won’t know more about the Century concept car until the marque drops some more details when it’s unveiled at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show.
