This crazy car company has unveiled its new US-made popemobile proposal for the first American Pope, and it’s one of the wildest ones we’ve ever seen.
The automaker DARTZ is known for creating the first ever bullet-proof baby car seat and also using whale penis leather upholstery in an SUV, so it’s no surprise that it’s concept for the Popemobile is…less than traditional.
DARTZ has not been approached by the Vatican to create the popemobile. However, the founder of the company hopes that there is some solidarity between him and the new Pontiff due to their matching names.
The concept popemobile comes with full anti-drone protection and a reel-to-reel sound system, perfect for blasting some sick Gregorian Chants.

When you think of a car with a reel-to-reel sound system and full anti-drone protection, you’d seldom think of the leader of the Catholic Church. But this US-made popemobile concept from DARTZ plans to change that.
After the announcement of the first American Pontiff’s new papal name, Pope Leo, the founder of Latvian ‘carnossieur‘ DARTZ, Leonard F. Yankelovich, decided that he wanted to create a special vehicle for a fellow Leo.
In honor of the Pontiff’s American heritage, Yankelovich wanted to assure people that his concept popemobile would be fully constructed in America.
DARTZ is known as the craziest car company ever due to some of the eccentric ideas that have been cooked up at its Riga-based HQ in Latvia.
For instance there’s a bullet-proof baby seat, a car with fully gold buttons, and a controversial SUV upholstered with whale penis leather.

The DARTZ proposal is based on the company’s Prombron Black Zeppelin armored SUV. It’s a true beast of a car and couldn’t look more intimidating if it tried.
The Prombron Black Zeppelin itself is based on a Maybach GLS X167 and is equipped to protect its occupants and carry various pieces of papal equipment.
The glass box on the papal vehicle is protected, but allows a good view from all angles of the new American Pope.
And Yankelovich is happy to get his friend to add a reel-to-reel sound system for his fellow Leo, free of charge.
The wacky proposal popemobile also comes with DARTZ’s full anti-drone system to keep our new Pontiff as safe as possible. But as you probably know, the previous holder of the title preferred a much more humble ride.
In fact, his preference was an EV Mercedes, gifted to him at the end of 2024. In fairness, though, he was also given a Lamborghini, but gave it away after signing it.
We kind of hope that if there is a need for a new US-made Popemobile, the Vatican will reach out to DARTZ. Because it’s a love letter to Leo, from Leo.
