Buying an abandoned storage unit for profit became a mainstream TV sensation years ago, and the trend is now thriving even more in the YouTube world.

This YouTuber bought a storage unit for about $1,000, which we’re sure he made back within hours of posting the video.

Beyond the views, he’s going to make even more after selling the car parts he found in this abandoned unit.

And wait until you hear what he decided to do with the most valuable item he found.

Once again, YouTube picks up where ‘legacy’ TV left off

This format was pioneered by what you’d call ‘traditional’ TV.

Shows about buying abandoned storage units – hoping to flip the contents for a profit – first aired well over a decade ago.

Storage Wars, Auction HuntersStorage Hunters – the list of bingeable series goes on.

As with most reality TV, they were likely staged and scripted – but it didn’t matter because they were still addictive to watch.

Not unlike Pimp My Ride.

This YouTuber is looking at a five-figure profit with this storage unit

Carter Sharer – the same YouTuber who once bought a Bugatti from AliBaba – bought an abandoned storage unit at auction for around $1,000.

What he found inside was worth a lot more than $1,000.

Let’s start with automotive-related stuff.

Among other things, he found the doors, fenders, a bedside panel, and even a front grille for a 2022 Chevy Silverado.

Put together, these items alone are worth well over $1,000.

He also found some motorcycle parts, including a minibike.

More importantly, he struck gold with some rare Pokémon cards, including a Legendary Collection Holographic Charizard.

He can probably get five figures for those.

Interestingly, he decided not to sell the cards.

Instead, he’s giving them away to his subscribers, which is a nice gesture.
