‘The Beast’ really prepares for everything

It sort of goes without saying that ‘The Beast’ is easily one of the most iconic cars in the world.

The 10-tonne Cadillac is the personal transport vehicle of the President of the United States (POTUS).

But what is so special about the cargo that it carries?

Unlike the stuff you would expect, there is a very special cargo onboard ‘The Beast’.

And that cargo…is a fridge full of blood.

‘The Beast’ always carries a supply of blood that matches the President’s blood type.

This is, of course, in the event of some sort of immediate emergency or threat to the President.

But it gets even better (and safer) than just having a supply of refrigerated blood.

It turns out that the President’s limo also comes with its own oxygen supply system.

This can be piped directly into the hermetically sealed cabin in the event of an attack.

All of this exists to ensure the continuity and constant safety of POTUS wherever he goes.

Thankfully, ‘The Beast’ can hold up to seven people, so the President is never far from help.

Then, there are the incredibly advanced communications systems that sit inside the car.

Almost no sound can enter the cabin because of the armored plating.

Exterior sound is picked up with microphones on the outside and speakers inside.

Further communications technology allows ‘The Beast’ to communicate with vehicles within the motorcade.

POTUS is also able to dispatch the nuclear codes within ‘The Beast’ if necessary.
