Car giant Volvo is going from strength to strength, and now the electric semi truck dealer network is the company’s latest success.
Thanks to the work going on behind the scenes, an impressive amount of growth has been recorded.
The EV truck dealerships span across the US and Canada, with more set to be opened in the near future.
But it turns out that the company isn’t the only thing benefiting from the semi-trucks.

Volvo’s semi truck dealer network is growing at an incredible rate
Volvo is well known within the car industry as a dominating force, but its offerings don’t just end with cars.
There’s a truck network that has been battling its way to the top, and now, it has been reported that the electric semi-truck network has seen a whopping growth of 8,200 percent, according to Electrek.
Impressive right?

Across the US and Canada, there are over 700 VNR electric trucks in operation, with the brand’s EV journey beginning over half a decade ago.
The company launched its first EV trucks in 2019, and Volvo Trucks has even bagged over 30 percent market share in the North American sphere since.
Since 2019, the company has facilitated 50 countries with over 7,500 electric vehicles, proving that the EV operation really is worldwide.
“Reaching this milestone is a testament to our customers’ commitment to sustainable transportation and our dealer network’s dedication to supporting them every step of the way,” said Volvo Trucks North America president Peter Voorhoeve.
The number of EV dealerships has rapidly increased, too, with 83 dealerships in 33 US states and four provinces in Canada.

The company went on to explain that these dealers go through ‘extensive’ training to ensure that services are top of the range, and the EVs are passed on to drivers with extra knowledge and information to assist them on the open road.
Here’s what else is benefitting from Volvo’s electric semi truck network
The electric vehicles have managed to eliminate around 34,000 metric tons of CO2, which Volvo says is the same as getting rid of 7,000 cars from roads across a whole year.
Volvo Trucks also has a ‘three-path approach’ to decarbonization, which works alongside battery and fuel-cell electric trucks.
The technology is set to be offered on a wider scale, with 13 locations set to be certified soon, which proves that the electric semi truck network is only at the start of its journey.
With Volvo’s current momentum, you can expect to see a lot more of the brand’s classic logo out on the roads.
