You’ve probably asked ‘Who would win in a fight: Batman or Superman?’ But have you ever wondered ‘Who would win in a race: James Bond or Brian O’Conner?’
The team at LeaseCar UK did, and now they’ve brought us The Great Movie Race, aiming to find out which iconic Hollywood car would be first to reach 60mph.
Now, thanks to a little data crunching, we finally get to see what happens when all our favorite iconic cars line up on the same grid.
Spoiler: the podium doesn’t look quite as you’d expect.

Who’s on the grid?
To find out which iconic car would win in a race, you have to first round up the competitors.
The Great Movie Race chose 10 legends from across film history, throwing them all onto the starting line to chase 0-60 glory.
The line up was a dream garage.

Ferris Bueller’s sleek Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder pulled up alongside Herbie, the ever-cheerful VW Beetle.
Batman rolled in heavy with the Tumbler, while Thelma and Louise’s Thunderbird promised drama on the straights.
Brian O’Conner’s Skyline brought JDM muscle to the grid, with Bond’s Aston Martin representing old-school British class.

Rounding it out were Starsky & Hutch’s Gran Torino, the Mk1 Austin Mini Cooper S from The Italian Job, ‘Eleanor’ the Mustang from Gone in 60 Seconds, and Doc Brown’s time-bending DeLorean – flux capacitor not included.
10 icons. One simulated flag drop. And off they went.
The results are in: Which Hollywood car sits top of the podium?
One Hollywood car smoked the lot: the Skyline.
With a blistering 4.6-second sprint to 60mph, it claimed gold like it was destined for it.
Hot on its tail was Batman’s Tumbler.
More armored tank than car, yet it ripped to 5.6 seconds, snatching silver.
And taking bronze? Ferris Bueller’s Ferrari with a respectable 7-second run.

The rest filled out the board: Eleanor and Bond’s Aston tied at 8.1 seconds, Thelma and Louise’s Thunderbird at 9.3 seconds, Doc’s DeLorean limping in at 10.5 seconds, Starsky’s Gran Torino at 13 seconds, and the Mini S bouncing through at 14.2 seconds.
Herbie finished last, going 0-60 in a sluggish 23 seconds.
So there you have it.
If Hollywood’s greatest cars ever faced off, Brian’s Skyline is the champ, leaving Batman in his wake.
And as for the rest – they may not win races, but they’re Hollywood icons all the same.
