After the announcement last year that Aston Martin is building a skyscraper in Miami, following a flurry of high-end automakers, it begs the question: why are so many car manufacturers building apartments in Miami?
Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, and Bentley have also started building luxury high-end apartment high-rises in the Floridian city of Miami.
Even Pagani has gotten in on the action. But people are starting to ask why Miami has become the epicenter for car-themed luxury living, as opposed to an established wealthy area like Monaco?
Our theory comes from the nature of the city itself – Miami is the perfect combination of class and a party atmosphere, perfect for attracting young professionals with supercars and lots of money.

If you’re a car manufacturer, there’s only one place to be
When it comes to picking a new place to live, you have to consider your lifestyle. And while a lot of people do take parking into consideration, some people take their supercar-themed lifestyles to the extreme.
It seems that Miami, as a city, is the place to be if you want to live in a supercar-themed high-rise, as Aston Martin, Pagani, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and Bentley are in various stages of building luxury residences.
A lot of the high-rises have interior design based on the interior of the supercars themselves, and some have bespoke car elevators so you can take your supercar with you, but why this Floridian city?
In the past, it seems that something like this would’ve popped up in a classically wealthy area, like Monaco.
But a shift from old money to new money has wealthy, young, supercar-loving professionals flocking to the sun, sea, and sand of Florida’s metropolis.

My oh my, Miami!
Miami is the birthplace of the luxury car-branded residences, but it’s precisely the busy lifestyle of the city that makes it perfect for them.
It’s a combination of modern, urban living, combined with sun, sea, and sand. The blend makes it super popular for young, wealthy people who want to be seen somewhere cool.
If you want to be someone, you better get yourself to Miami and get yourself a nice apartment in a supercar-branded highrise – turns out it’s the place to be, for buyers and car manufacturers alike.
