The LXT 88 concept yacht on water

This menacing LXT 88 orange superyacht looks like a mad scientist was let loose in the Lamborghini factory and told to make a boat.

It’s a concept from Naval Yachts, a Turkish-based boat builder who had two priorities with the design.

Luxury and speed.

The folks at Navy Yachts said the LXT 88 was “inspired by the aerodynamics of supersport cars”.

The angular black wedges on the roof and the rear of the yacht remind us of a Lamborghini Aventador.

And even the orange color of the yacht looks like it’s from the showroom floor of Lamborghini.

The LXT 88 is not just designed to look like a supercar, it’s got some serious speed as well.

A ‘normal’ superyacht might cruise around at speeds of 17 knots (31km/h, 19mph).

But the LXT 88 has a cruising speed of 27 knots (50km/h, 31mph).

And if you want to push the limits it’ll reportedly top out at 42 knots (78km/h, 48mph).

What strikes you straight away is the cockpit. You sit in the center with a steering wheel and glowing dashboard that looks part-supercar, part-spaceship.

The concept art shows a surprisingly roomy interior.

But we do question how useful that record player would be while you bounce around on choppy seas at 50km/h.

Another top tier touch is the jacuzzi at the front of the yacht.

It’s the perfect spot to relax if you can ever afford to buy one of these supercars of the sea.

There are no prices listed yet, but you can expect to drop a few million.

Conor McGregor’s Lamborghini superyacht

The LXT 88 is not the first yacht to take design queues from the world of supercars.

Infact, former UFC champion Conor McGregor has a Lamborghini superyacht.

Built in Italy by Tecnomar, the Lamborghini Tecnomar 63 starts at $3.5 million.

It’s able to hit a top speed of 111km/h (69mph, 60 knots).

McGregor’s yacht also features a dashboard inspired by the Lamborghini Sian (also limited to 63 units) complete with a Lambo steering wheel.
