This young Ferrari mechanic brought her 1987 Testarossa to Jay Leno.

She also discussed why she refuses to drive anything new.

Jay Leno’s Garage has a very different type of guest

When it comes to cars, Jay Leno has pretty much seen and done it all.

From the Ford Model T to the latest EV, there is nothing that the legendary late-night host hasn’t seen.

Or is that really the case?

In his latest video, Leno meets somebody absolutely fascinating.

The person in question is Victoria Bruno – and she is a mechanic.

Bruno is not just any mechanic, however.

Instead, Bruno is a young mechanic who works exclusively on vintage Ferrari cars.

And she just so happens to own a 1987 Testarossa.

The young mechanic explained in the video that she recently graduated from McPherson College in Kansas.

It is a college that offers degree programs in automotive restoration.

Victoria explained that she got to all of the fun stuff – drivetrain classes, metal fabrication, and that was just the beginning.

The 1987 Testarossa is spectacular

Discussions then quickly turned to Bruno’s 1987 Testarossa.

She was able to get her car for a reasonable price because it required a lot of work.

“These things need love to run properly”, she explained.

She performed a full major service – accessing belts, replacing seals, and fixing water pumps.

It’s safe to say that Jay Leno was a big fan of this.

The pair took a walk around the car, including the spectacular flat-12 engine.

Leno and Bruno hit the roads

Bruno then handed Leno the keys to her beloved Testarossa – and the pair hit the streets.

The noise of the naturally aspirated, 12-cylinder engine was simply incredible.

Both Jay Leno and Bruno had a brilliant time discussing the intricacies of the car.

“Boy, this really drives nicely”, Leno remarked.

Bruno asked Leno if she had managed to make him a Ferrari fan.

He explained that he’s always loved the cars, but never enjoyed not being treated right.

And that is why he has turned to other brands that always appreciated him more.

So why does the young mechanic prefer a 1987 Testarossa over newer cars?

For one thing, she prefers the soul and feel of the older car.

And the other factor is her lack of confidence in the performance of newer Ferraris.

It’s fair to say that Jay Leno was extremely impressed with what Victoria Bruno managed to achieve.

Keelin joined the editorial team at Supercar Blondie in February of 2025 and hasn’t looked back. His philosophy of writing from the audience’s POV has worked in his favor, considering that he’s always been a dedicated fan of motorsports, beautiful cars, and the SBMedia brand itself.
