88 years after its release, Alvis has brought back a British classic car, only this time it has a modern twist.
The car is British to its core, with the models made exclusively the UK.
It contains all of the classic original features, but in line with the times, the marque has designed some new additions.

Britain has produced some powerful classic cars
Some of the world’s most powerful cars were produced on UK soil and then distributed around the world.
From the Rolls-Royce Cullinan to the Bentley Bentayga, there’s a whole fleet that originated across the pond.
But this new twist on a classic might just be one of our favorite releases yet.
Made by Alvis

Named The Lancefield, the auto was originally released by British marque Alvis 88 years ago.
And, now the company has unveiled a new version as part of its continuation series.
“The cars carry Alvis chassis numbers and engine numbers which follow on from the last in the model sequence, which is why they have been designated the Continuation Series,” stated the British car brand.
However, the Lancefield has a new modern twist

“88 years after the first was dispatched from the factory on 19 August 1937, this latest delivery is the result of 3,800 hours of work, carried out entirely at our workshop in Kenilworth, UK,” Alvis said.
The car is powered by a ‘straight-six, 4387cc engine that makes over 150HP. It still pays homage to the original classic as it was fabricated to the same specification.’
“They are faithful to the original design and by using our Works Drawings from the period, they retain all their traditional character and quality, yet are emission compliant,” the marque explained.
To launch itself into the 21st century, the car now reportedly features power steering and servo brakes, which means less force is needed when putting your foot on the pedal.
Alongside this, electronic engine management has also been integrated, in addition to elements that make it safe for modern roads.
The car is set to be delivered to Japan.
