Is this what Tesla’s hypercar will look like?

One automotive designer thinks so.

German car designer Maximilian Schneider has imagined what a Tesla / SpaceX hypercar would look like and it’s a 2950hp rocket for the road.

The hypercar design, which he launched on his Youtube channel Design to the Max!, is his vision of what a collaboration between Elon Musk’s Tesla and SpaceX would be.

For one, Schneider took Elon Musk seriously when the Tesla CEO claimed his Tesla roadster could come with rocket boosters.

CHECK THIS OUT!

Schneider’s design has two massive rocket boosters at the back, almost as large as the wheels.

“I couldn’t help but wonder, what if we take this booster idea up to 11 and utilize true power,” he said.

In fact, he’s not the first to imagine a Tesla with rocket boosters.

One Tesla owner was so keen he attached three jet engines to the back of his car.

The Tesla hypercar has also been given downfacing boosters to create downforce.

Each could also be operated individually for ultimate cornering power.

The rear is also taken over by huge fins that almost look like wings on either side of the rocket boosters.

The car wears a sleek, curved design with massive, bulging wheel arches.

Around the front, there’s no grille, as the hypercar would be all-electric in line with Tesla’s lineup.

Instead, the front of the car has a minimalistic design, with thin headlights that curve up and around the wheel arches.

The cockpit is covered by a glass canopy and supported by a 3D-printed carbon fiber frame.

Schneider said he wanted to make the cockpit look like “a spaceship that can fly on its own”.

And that he did.

Schneider is a professional car designer who has worked for huge companies including Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagen, Mitsubishi and HiPhi.

So the car doesn’t just look cool, he’s designed it to function to perfection.

The Tesla / SpaceX hypercar would reach 0-100km/h in 1.9 seconds and have a top speed of 526km/h.

It would also pack a whopping 2950hp thanks to the rocket boosters on the back.
