This is the Aehra SUV, a crazy electric vehicle that wants to give the Tesla Model X a run for its money.

First and foremost, we have to talk about the crazy doors.

Both the front and the rear doors open vertically but they use two different mechanisms.

It has butterfly doors at the front and gullwing doors at the back, giving it a super unique appearance.

This makes it a lot easier to get in and out of the car and, crucially, it makes the car look crazy cool.

It almost looks like a scarab that’s about to take off.

Aehra actually calls the doors ‘elytra-like’.

CHECK THIS OUT!

Made in Italy, the Aehra SUV is designed to be as aerodynamically efficient as possible.

The curved windshield is seamlessly integrated into the roof, which then sweeps down to the tailgate.

The pointy front section serves a dual purpose: it helps optimize the drag coefficient and also helps to manage the airflow to keep the batteries cool.

Speaking of batteries, Aehra hasn’t revealed any details about the powertrain just yet.

However, we do know that it is going to compete with the Model X in terms of performance and range.

The company is a targeting a launch in 2025, with a production output of at least 20,000 SUVs every year.

The SUV doesn’t have a name yet because Aehra is actually just the name of the company.

However, we do have a suggestion: they should call this the ‘Aehra Elytra’.

And the price?

You can expect to pay upwards of $160,000.
