This 60s truck has been turned into a 6-wheeler beast

It also has a massive wing because why not.

6-wheeled truck

Believe it or not, this crazy vehicle is based on a simple pick-up truck from the 60s.

But, as you can see from these pictures, there’s nothing simple about it anymore.

Based on a 1965 Chevy C10, the truck was built by DeBerti Design, a custom builder from North Carolina.

Aptly dubbed ‘Slayer’, the 6-wheeled truck was designed to steal the show at SEMA – the iconic annual aftermarket show held in Las Vegas .

The first thing you notice is its epic appearance.

Everything is painted black except for the red wheels and ginormous supercharger sticking out of the hood.

The 6-wheeled truck is powered by a Chevy LSX iron-block V8, fitted with a massive supercharger made by Whipple.

As standard, the Chevy V8 they used delivers a hair over 400 hp.

However, Doug and Brad DeBerti say they picked this engine precisely because you can easily get over 1,000 hp out of it.

Which is exactly what they did.

Obviously, you need a custom made chassis, axle and suspension to cope with the tremendous amount of power.

But DeBerti has thought of that, too.

The truck is now sitting as close to the ground as physically possible and thanks to the front splitter and the wing, it is basically a drag race monster.

At this year’s SEMA, The Hoonigans asked DeBerti to bring the Slayer and another truck they build based on the Tacoma.

There’s nothing crazy about that per se.

The crazy bit is The Hoonigans – from the eponymous super popular YouTube channel – asked DeBerti to bring the truck to SEMA so they could drift it.

Which is entirely possible.

We know that people like Ken Block and Brad DeBerti can drift just about anything.
