#1. What car is the Ghostbusters' 'Ectomobile' based on?

The Ectomobile, also known as Ecto-1, is based on a 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor. It was used in the original 1984 film as well as in the 1989 and 2021 sequels.

#2. Who makes the Lykan Hypersport that Vin Diesel crashed through a skyscraper in Furious 7?

The Lykan Hypersport is a $3.4m supercar made by W Motors in Dubai.

W Motors produced 10 purpose-built mules for the film and only one survived.

#3. What does Bruce Wayne / Batman drive in the Dark Knight Trilogy?

Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) drives a Lamborghini Murciélago in Batman Begins (2005), and an Aventador in The Dark Knight (2008) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012).

#4. What did Colin Farrell / James 'Sonny' Crockett drive in the 2006 film Miami Vice?

In the original Miami Vice series, Sonny Crockett drove a Ferrari Daytona and a Testarossa.

In the 2006 film adaption, the character drives a Ferrari F430 Spider in titanium grey.

#5. What sort of powertrain does the DMC DeLorean use?

Built by DMC and designed by Giugiaro, the DeLorean was powered by a 2.85-liter V6 delivering 130 hp.

This powertrain was actually jointly developed by Peugeot, Renault and Volvo.

#6. What color are the Minis used as getaway cars in The Italian Job?

The three Minis in the 1969 film were finished in Tartan Red, Old English White, and Island Blue respectively.

Equivalent colorways were used for the Minis in the 2003 remake starring Charlize Theron, Mark Wahlberg and Jason Statham.

#7. What is the codename of the Shelby Mustang GT500 from Gone in 60 Seconds?

The name Eleanor was first invented for the 1974 film Gone in 60 Seconds.

It was used again (for the same car) in the 2000 remake with Angelina Jolie and Nicolas Cage.

#8. What car does Bryan O'Conner gift Dom Toretto at the end of the first Fast & Furious movie?

O’Conner (Paul Walker) allows Toretto (Vin Diesel) to escape arrest and use his Toyota Supra as a getaway car because he says he owes him “a 10-second car”.

As in, a car that can cover the quarter mile run in under 10 seconds.
