Tom Cruise performed the biggest stunt in cinema history while filming part one of the upcoming two-part finale for the Mission: Impossible franchise.
And yes, the 60-year-old actor is still doing his own stunts.

Earlier this year, Paramount Pictures confirmed that both films will be a send-off to Ethan Hunt.
This explains the enormous budget, nearly $700 million, and the mind-blowing scene we saw in the trailer.

In the clip, we see Tom Cruise / Ethan Hunt riding a bike at full chat in the forest before jumping off a cliff.
Paramount Pictures shared a YouTube video giving us a behing-the-scenes glimpse into the making of the scene.
As you can imagine, the dramatic scene had people go crazy and many took to Twitter to share their opinions.
Thyview wrote: “To do this stunt, Tom Cruise trained for a year, did 30 base jumps daily, did over 500 skydives. He did 6 takes on the same day to get the perfect shot.”
Funk Butcher said: “The lane Tom Cruise has crafted for himself in cinema is so unique simply because no actor will do their own stunts like this.”
Cruise said he performend over 13,000 jumps in total for the film.
The scene was filmed in a spectular fjord near Hellesylt in Norway.
The locals call it ‘The Pearl of the Fjords’.
Mission: Impossible fans will be happy to learn that all the main characters from the series are set to return.
Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg will both reprise their roles as Luther Stickell and Benji Dunn respectively, as will Rebecca Ferguson, who appeared in Rogue Nation and Fallout.
The upcoming sequel is titled Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and it will be released in 2023.
Part Two is scheduled to hit the screens one year later, in the summer of 2024.
