If you’re remotely interested in supercars, the likeliness is you’ve heard the name Bertone before.
The Italian coachbuilder is responsible for shaping many of the world’s most famous supercars.
Interestingly, though, it’s never produced one of its own – until now.

The design house has revealed the Bertone GB110 to celebrate its rebirth and 110th anniversary.
Information is limited, but what we do know is that it’s got butterfly doors, all-wheel drive, and a seven-speed transmission.
According to Bertone, its combustion engine develops 1,100 PS (1,085 bhp) and 811 lb-ft of torque.

Bertone claims it accelerates from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.79 seconds and can hit 380 km/h (236 mph).
What’s more, Bertone said it’s been engineered to run on synthetic fuels made for plastic waste.
Yep, literal garbage.
We don’t know engine size and cylinder count, and Bertone hasn’t revealed where the donor chassis comes from, other than it’s “based on components from a German manufacturer”.
It may contain German components, but the GB110 is at heart an Italian car, according to Bertone’s Project & Design Manager, Giovanni Sapio.
“It has Italian class and style, and it is built to excite its owner and to ignite the passion of sports car aficionados,” says Sapio.
“But at the same time, it’s built for everyday use. It’s practical, comfortable, and easy to manage, without exasperating its sportiness.”
The exterior design of the Bertone GB110 clearly takes inspiration from the likes of the Lancia Stratos Zero Concept (triangular side vents) and the original Lamborghini Countach (low-swept front end and wedge shape).

Unfortunately, the Bertone GB110 price is another detail the company has not yet revealed, but it did say it will build 33 examples of the new supercar.
