Special Edition Ferrari Roma

Ferrari has produced a special edition Ferrari Roma to celebrate the marque’s 30th anniversary in China.

The one-off Roma is the result of a collaboration between Chinese designer Jiang Qiong’er and the Ferrari Tailor Made programme.

It’s far from your average Roma, with the exterior finished in Sanusilver Matte and Rosso Magma Glossy, the latter paying homage to the traditional Chinese carmine red.

The stripes running along the body and through the interior are inspired by characteristic features from classical Ming Dynasty furniture.

The interior of the special edition Ferrari Roma is finished in red with silver stripes, contrasting the exterior of the supercar.

The interior features a gold dedication plate inlaid with jade and engraved with the Chinese characters for “30”.

It includes a key case painted in red and gold-spotted Boluo lacquer, too, which is an ancient Chinese technique known for its unique textured finish.

The reason for jade and gold – both materials are associated with good wishes and reverence.

What’s more, Jiang Quing’er has designed an exclusive collection of goods to go with the special edition Ferrari Roma.

These include a Roma aroma diffuser made from ebony and crystal, with scents for each season.

Then there’s an ebony cigar box with an ink stone cigar ashtray, which is probably the reason it includes an aroma diffuser.

About the special edition Ferrari Roma

The collection also includes a tea set made using bamboo weaving with accompanying tea tool set painted in red and gold Boluo lacquer.

In addition to that, you also get a Xuan paper kite, cashmere blankets, and a Chinese checkers set made of agate and leather.

Like all Ferrari Romas, this special edition is powered by a 3.9-liter turbocharged V8 engine.

That unit produces 612 hp and can sprint from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 3.4 seconds.
