It’s not often that celebrity-owned cars come up for sale.

When they do, nobody’s heard of the celebrity, and the car’s nothing to write home about either.

This one’s different, though, as it’s Toto Wolff’s Ferrari F40.

The Mercedes-AMG F1 CEO and Team Principal has impeccable taste when it comes to cars.

A few years ago, a Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series owned by the man himself popped up for sale.

That’s an amazing car, but so is his latest possession to go up for sale – the Ferrari F40.

CHECK THIS OUT!

The Ferrari F40 really doesn’t need any introduction, especially if you were a child growing up in the ‘80s.

It’s a true supercar icon and for very good reason, regardless of who used to own it.

Even without Toto Wolff’s name on the title, this Ferrari F40 is an interesting example, as it’s one of only 27 examples ever delivered new to Spain.

Fresh from a complete overhaul by marque and model experts Autofficina Bonini Carlo S.r.l., the F40 comes with a Ferrari ‘Red Book’ Classic certified.

This confirms it still retains its original chassis, body, engine and gearbox.

It’s being offered for sale complete with its original books, including the ever-important warranty/service supplement, leather wallet, and dedicated history file.

It comes in the only color an F40 should be, Rosso Corse, with red racing seats to match.

What’s more, it’s covered little more than a hundred miles a year, with the odometer currently showing 3,439 miles (5,535 kilometers).

Like all Ferrari F40s, it’s got a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 mated to a five-speed transmission, producing 478bhp and 426 lb-ft of torque.

Ferrari F40 price

This F40 doesn’t come cheap.

According to the listing, it has spectacularly low mileage.

A quick online search revealed that there’s another F40 currently for sale on the Pistonheads website with an asking price of – wait for it – £2.3m ($2.8m).

We imagine the POA of this particular example being in the region of £3m ($3.7m).

Just popping out to buy a lottery ticket!
