SLR McLaren Stirling Moss

The SLR McLaren Stirling Moss is the most radical iteration of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.

It’s an incredibly rare beast, too, being the final version with only 75 examples ever being built.

That’s why when one comes up for sale – which only seems to be when there’s a full moon – it’s a big deal.

A 2010 SLR McLaren Stirling Moss has popped up for sale via RM Sotheby’s.

We spotted the supercar listing being offered without a reserve on its ‘Sealed’ platform.

CHECK THIS OUT!

This particular SLR McLaren Stirling Moss was first registered in Germany in 2010 and has been carefully preserved in the hands of just one private owner.

Driven less than 150 km (93 miles) in total, it’s in virtually as-new condition throughout.

It’s finished in the Stirling Moss’ quintessential color scheme of metallic silver paintwork over a black and red interior.

Unfortunately, little other information has been revealed, but we know a fair amount about the SLR McLaren Stirling Moss anyway.

Like what’s under the hood – the same 5.5-liter supercharged AMG V8 that powers the SLR 722 Edition.

Producing 641 bhp, it’s capable of a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 354 km/h (220 mph).

Compared to the SLR 722 Edition, the SLR McLaren Stirling moss saves 200 kg of weight, achieved by the adoption of the speedster style.

That’s in addition to the extensive use of carbon fiber for the bodywork and underside, and aerodynamic package.

SLR McLaren Stirling Moss price

This example of the SLR McLaren Stirling Moss has got to be one of the finest examples in existence.

Privately owned and just 150 km from new, little wonder the auction estimate is between €3,000,000 and €4,000,000 ($3,271,350 – $4,361,800).
