Would you buy a wrecked Maserati MC20

Well, one person did and dropped $84,500 on it too.

The typically $216,000 sports car was sold at a Copart auction at the weekend with just 295 miles on its clocks.

According to the listing, the only damage to this 2022 Maserati MC20 is at its front end – so there aren’t any surprises around the back.

But that front end is completely destroyed.

The entire bumper is gone, along with the front quarter panel.

It’s so destroyed that the chassis and internal components are totally exposed.

And the hood, or what’s left of it, is covered in dents.

Luckily for the owners, both new and old, the Maserati MC20 is a mid-engine car, so the 3-liter V6 engine wasn’t destroyed in the wreck.

This means the car still runs and drives without major issue – as we can see from this video.

This is likely the only reason this MC20 got a second chance at life.

That, and the fact that it has just 295 miles on its clocks.

Inside, just like the rear end, the car looks to be in perfect condition.

We’re unsure what the new owner intends to do with the car, sell it for parts or try to restore it, but we hope it’s the latter.

About the Maserati MC20

The MC20 is a two-seater coupe with driver experience at the fore.

Butterfly doors open to a clean, minimalistic interior design.

While paired back, the cabin is finished in high-quality leather with Alcantara and carbon fiber trim.

The mid-engine sports car packs a twin-turbo V6 that churns out an impressive 621hp.
