If a Corvette and a TVR, an American brand and English brand, went on holiday to Italy and had a love child, this is what that child would look like.

It’s called the Anomalya and it’s a limited-edition high-performance luxury sports car manufactured in Tuscany.

It’s a mom-and-pop project, except instead of a mom-and-pop the car is built by three friends, so perhaps it’s more of a men-in-a-shed kind of thing.

As ever, you can never be too sure about the solidity of a project like this, the car looks intriguing, especially the rear end section.

It’s a lightweight sportscar, tipping the scales at just 1,080 kg, powered by a Porsche-sourced 3.2-litre V6, paired to a VW-sourced DSG gearbox.

It takes 4.4 seconds to get to 62 mph – and the top speed is is 167 mph.

The creators say the price is aligned with that of a Porsche or Ferrari – but that could be anywhere between $50,000 and $1 million.

I suppose, if you have all the money in the world and you’re tired of buying different colour Bugattis just for kicks, you could give this Anomaly, sorry I mean ‘Anomalya’, a chance.
