If want to go to the extra mile and give your car a cool paint job with unique engraved motifs, this is your guy.

His name is Takahiko Izawa and the most incredible thing is he does everything by hand.

In a way, it’s almost like a tattoo, except the artist uses an engraver and a brush instead of a needle.

Izawa is certainly confident enough to do it all in one go.

It’s tricky because he obviously can’t get it wrong, otherwise the body panels would have to be sandblasted and cleaned, and he’d have to start all over again.

He does it freehand, seamlessly moving across the entire length of the car drawing unique shapes and patterns.

The liquid, three-dimensional effect is created using a special type of paint that the artist uses.

It’s called IZ Metal, and it almost looks like the liquid chrome metal the ‘baddie’ from Terminator was made of.

After applying the first few layers of IZ Metal paint, Izawa moves on to some cool airbrush designs with different colors.

We’ve had a look at some of his other designs (he goes by Rohan | Izawa Art Design on social media) and it’s truly impressive stuff.

From classic JDM cars like the Toyota Supra or Nissan Skyline to American muscle cars like the Chevy Camaro, he does it all.

However, if we had to pick one, we’d definitely go for the Nissan GT-R (above) that Izawa painted gold.
