Off-road Lamborghini Urus render

A YouTuber out of Canada is creating a monster off-road Lamborghini Urus with an old Chevy Tahoe.

TrickFactory Customs is taking the body of a wrecked Lamborghini Urus and repurposing it onto the frame of the 2003 Tahoe.

Then they’re giving it a twin-turbo V8 with 1,000 horsepower, making it an extremely powerful one-of-one Lamborghini-Chevrolet beast they’re calling the ‘Lambolet’.

The guys said the project came about because they couldn’t fathom letting a Lamborghini body go to the dump.

“We bought a Lamborghini Urus, a wrecked one because we have an upcoming project and needed the drivetrain out of it,” they said.

“And none of us can really stomach seeing [the Lamborghini shell] go to waste, so we’re going to do something fun with it.”

So, using a donated Chevrolet Tahoe from 2003, they set about doing just that.

Why the Tahoe? It’s got the perfect wheelbase for the Urus, within half an inch.

They even had a spare twin-turbo LS kit at the ready.

So, the guys at TrickFactory Customs got to gutting the Urus and collecting all the bits and pieces they’d need for the project.

They admit it’s going to involve quite a bit of improvising on their part as they get deeper and deeper into the job.

“Basically this whole project is going to be us consolidating years and years of spare parts and crazy sh*t that we have just kicking around the shop,” they said.

The final results is yet to be seen, but TrickFactory Customs mocked up these renders to give us a sneak peek.

And if it turns out anything like the render, with its roll cage and exoskeleton, this ‘Lambolet’ is going to be an absolute beast.
