The latest Urwerk watch looks like it was designed by a robot, for a robot.
It looks odd and futuristic, as Urwerk watches often do, and it’s pricey.

Based on the UR-100 V model, the new watch is dubbed Urwerk Magic T, and the T stands for titanium.
Titanium was used for the dial, the case, the crown and the integrated bracelet.
Even the screws are made from the same material.
Inside the Terminator-looking case beats an automatic ‘heart’ designed and manufactured by Urwerk.
As ever, the company also added a bunch of quirky features.
In addition to the time and date, you’ve got indicators for orbital distance and rotational distance at the Equator in 20 minutes.
And that’s not it because while most watches feature a traditional design with three hands that rotate around the dial, Urwerk went down a different route.
The Swiss company relies on satellite hours and minutes instead.
With satellite hours, also known as wandering hours, you tell time with a system of satellites that gravitate along a minute scale shaped like an arc.
Does it make any easier to read the time on the watch dial? Probably not.
Does it make the watch cooler? Definitely, and that’s the whole point.
Unfortunately being cool has a cost, and a hefty one at that since the Urwerk UR-100 V Magic T has a retail price of 58,000 Swiss Francs – or $65,000 at today’s exchange rate.
