The world's lowest car is a Fiat Panda sliced in half

Talk about a low rider.

A bunch of Italian YouTubers have transformed a Fiat Panda into the world’s lowest car.

They’ve done it by literally chopping the car in half – and it still drives like an ordinary vehicle.

The so-called ‘Carmagheddon’ group showed off their crazy creation in some impressive footage

It appears the guys have managed to create the world’s smallest car by slicing below the windows of the Fiat Panda.

The bottom half of the vehicle has then been switched out for a go-kart, elevated by just four small wheels.

But despite being incredibly low to the ground, it drives just like any other car.

It seamlessly moves across gravel when put to the test, while making crowds gather in disbelief in the process.

You might notice that it moves a bit slower than a typicat Fiat Panda, though.

This is because the engine’s been removed.

That being said, the driver can steer and propel the car forward like any other, using the wheels and pedals of the go-kart lodged inside.

To do so, you have to crawl through the back window and lie on your back to get into a driving position.

Even though it’s been dubbed the ‘world’s lowest car’, it’s not entirely clear how tall the sliced Fiat Panda really is.

The latest Guinness World Records suggests this title was claimed by Mirai – measuring 17.79 inches (55 cm) from the ground to its highest part.

That particular vehicle was created by students and teachers at Okayama Sanyo High School in Asakuchi, Japan.

Whether or not the Fiat Panda holds the record for the world’s lowest car, it’s incredibly fascinating to watch.

And the crazy thing is – it’s not the only wacky project the Carmagheddon group has worked on – their Insta page has several of them.
