Francis Ngannou went from being homeless to becoming one of the best-paid athletes in the world.
His match vs Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia granted him his biggest purse yet, a massive $10 million payday.
But it wasn’t always that way.

Francis Ngannou and his childhood in Cameroon
Ngannou was born and raised in a small town called Batié, in Cameroon.
With no formal education and no money, Ngannou decided he wanted to become a professional boxer.
In part, he made this decision because his dad had a (bad) reputation as a street brawler, and he wanted to change that.
Ngannou moved to Paris in 2012, at the age of 26.
Just one year later, his boxing career began with his first professional MMA fight, which he won.
He hasn’t forgotten his roots, though.
Francis Ngannou regularly travels back to Cameroon whenever he can.
The American Dream
In 2017, Ngannou’s popularity was growing both as an athlete as an all-around celebrity.
So naturally the next step was to move to Las Vegas, the world capital when it comes to professional mixed martial artists and MMA / UFC athletes.
After purchasing a house, Ngannou began curating his personal image in order to become more bankable as a celebrity.
This is what eventually gave him the chance to walk home with his biggest bag yet.
From rags to riches
Even though the fight result was a bit controversial, the Tyson Fury match marks a new start for Ngannou.
The 37-year-old fighter walked home with $10 million, his largest purse yet.
In addition to his mansion in Las Vegas, Ngannou owns an amazing car collection, from his Rolls-Royce Ghost and Phantom to a Ferrari 488 GTB, which he occasionally drives around the truck.
At 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, Ngannou is a big guy, which is why he needs a big vehicle – just like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
