A 1964 Chevrolet Corvette is always a newsworthy item in its own right.

However, this particular 1964 Corvette will absolutely amaze you.

This ‘Vette will eat any supercar unfortunate enough to be near it for breakfast.

C2 Corvette remains among the most iconic of them all

The Chevrolet Corvette remains among the most iconic cars ever built by any manufacturer.

First released in 1953, the iconic car forever changed the fortunes of General Motors (GM).

Ten years later, Chevrolet released the C2 Corvette, the second-generation version of the car.

The C2 Corvette was a roaring success for GM, and sold extremely well during its five-year run.

Over its five-year life span, the iconic model sold just shy of 118,000 units.

The C2 was much lauded, particularly for its style and performance – especially the engine.

Later iterations of the C2 Corvette came with the L71 engine, which could do 0-60 in just over five seconds.

Chevrolet’s C2 Corvette is a car that has continued to endure and appreciate over time.

This Chevy swallows up supercars – but how?

Recently, a particular example of the C2 Corvette began making waves online.

As it turns out, Tony – from American Legends Hotrods and Muscle – is who made this car.

Tony, who lives in Arizona, only had the C2 body and nothing else – but he has still made something masterful.

So, Tony got the idea to transplant a Chevrolet LS7 engine into this 1960s icon.

Alongside this mammoth engine, the transmission was also provided by a newer Camaro Z28.

All 465bhp of this Frankenstein-like Corvette is channelled by a Tremec six-speed manual gearbox.

Sean, from Autotopia LA, features this blacked out monster on his YouTube channel.

And he is absolutely blown away when he begins to pin the accelerator.

This is a Corvette that angrily growls and eats the road up in rapid chunks.

We are extremely impressed with the restoration work on this C2 Corvette – well done, indeed.
