An unfortunate American in an F40 thought he was king of the road until the only road-legal Porsche 962C pulled up beside him.
The whole reason you buy an F40 is so that you are never embarrassed on the road, but this driver was very quickly overtaken by an even more impressive beast.
It looked as though the supercar had just driven straight off the racetrack and straight onto the highway, where it was tearing it up big time.
According to the driver, getting the only 962C to be the only road-legal version was described as ‘quite the process’.

King of the road surpassed by a road-legal Porsche 962C
Let’s be honest, there’s a reason you splash the cash on an F40 and it’s usually so you feel like the King of the Road.
Imagine the shock of this F40 driver when his gorgeous supercar looked like a common daily driver in comparison to a real-life race car.
While a normal Porsche 962C would not normally be allowed to be on the road legally, this one has been modified to hit the highway.

Turns out that nothing could compare to the “only road-legal 962C” in the whole of America, but making it road-legal turned out to be a bit of an ordeal.
The F40 looks like nothing more than a common daily driver
The Porsche 962C is a Group C iteration of the Porsche 962, a prototype sports car built to replace the iconic 956.
According to a comment by the owner of the race car in the video, it was quite the process’ to make it road-legal.
This primarily carbon-fiber-based majestic beast is somewhat of a mainstay in endurance racing, so the last place you’d expect to find it is on a highway.
While we get to enjoy the spectacle of such a classic racer tearing it up on the highway second-hand, we can’t imagine how it would feel to be seeing it in person.
