If you think you know what $37,000 buys in a Chinese car, the Geely M9 is about to blow your mind.

Forrest Auto Reviews recently took this family-sized SUV for a spin, and the tech inside immediately impressed.

Sleek, modern, and surprisingly spacious, the M9 doesn’t feel like a car in the sub-$40,000 range.

It’s a true reminder that Chinese automakers have come a long way and are able to deliver both style and performance without breaking the bank.

You probably can’t keep track of all these features

The YouTuber shared his review in a recent video, and the car is truly amazing.

The Geely M9 has a moonroof and massive integrated screens that span both driver and passenger sides, offering stunning display quality.

Seats are heated, ventilated, and massaging, complete with leg rests, and ambient lighting sets a luxurious mood throughout the cabin.

A 50-watt air-cooled wireless charging pad keeps devices powered, allowing you to skip worrying about the apps draining your phone’s battery life.

Meanwhile, a heated steering wheel, head-up display, and advanced driver display make the driving experience feel effortless.

The M9 even offers a semi-autonomous driving mode, which requires lessons to activate.

In fact, the Chinese car is so smart that you can say goodbye to your parallel parking woes, as the car will happily park itself.

The rear passengers aren’t left out.

They get their own giant screen, a built-in table, and a cooler capable of keeping items hot or cold.

The seats mirror the front with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, and even the third row has cup holders, phone chargers, and recline functionality for comfort on longer trips.

Even Forrest himself was surprised by how much he could recline.

This Chinese car isn’t even close to being the cheapest on the market

Performance-wise, the M9 packs Geely’s EM-P hybrid system, combining a 1.5-liter turbo engine with multiple electric motors for up to 870hp.

Range is impressive as well, with some models capable of up to 932 miles thanks to hybrid efficiency and battery options.

This makes the M9 not just comfortable and tech-filled, but also a capable performer on long road trips.

The Geely M9 is part of a larger trend showing the rise of Chinese automakers globally.

Geely alone sold millions of vehicles in 2025 and is expanding into Europe and beyond, showing that Chinese brands can compete on tech, comfort, and price.

For $37,000, the M9 proves that high-end features and serious performance don’t need to cost a fortune.

In fact, Geely’s competitor BYD boasts LiDAR self-driving technology in its Seagull EV, and it only costs $10,000.
