A gorgeous yellow Ferrari Enzo has recently shattered expectations by selling for nearly $18 million at an auction.
Many still consider the Enzo to be the greatest modern Ferrari, thanks to its screaming V12 engine, ferocious speed, and aggressive design.
Just 36 examples of the supercar were painted in a shade of yellow called Giallo Modena, and as such, these are some of the rarest available.
Not only did it garner a lot of attention at a recent Mecum Auction, but it smashed through records and destroyed the previous Enzo sales record set in 2023.

What makes this Ferrari Enzo so special?
The most obvious thing about this supercar is the color.
In total, just 36 were produced in Giallo Modena, color code DS 4305.
Of those 36, only 11 ended up in the United States.
It is also one of 400 Enzos produced from 2002-2004, and of those, 127 were made for the United States.
This particular one was ordered new by the Bachmans and customized through the factory.

The supercar is also the most heavily optioned, with features like custom Rosso and Giallo seats.
Other options include the stitched Enzo Ferrari signature and the Schedoni luggage.
The car is virtually brand new, as the odometer only reads 649 miles.
V12 power gave the Enzo an amazing soundtrack
The Ferrari Enzo has a 6.0-liter V12 engine producing 651hp and 485lb-ft of torque.
It is mated with an automatic transmission, and it is Ferrari Classiche certified with the famous Red Book.
Thanks to its immaculate condition, the car is also an award winner.

This includes the Platinum and The Super Cup, which it won at the 2011 Cavallino Classic.
In 2023, an Enzo sold for $6.26 million.
At the time, that was the most expensive example of the supercar sold.

But this yellow machine has blown that out of the water, with its incredible $17.9 million auction price.
That is an incredible price and reflects how desirable this particular Enzo had become.
It may even be an indicator of just how much the value of certain Ferrari Enzos will increase in years to come.
